Whitey's Booze N' Burgers: Reviews & Ratings
Solid American bar experience. Friends to be found all over and casual eats and drinks! Easy chatting with customers and patrons. Had their wings, a tasty full platter of 12, but I think I got more! Crispy breaded wings were delicious for the crisp breading and tender meat inside. Served with two of a variety of dips.
Stopped by for lunch with my brothers. Waitress was great even for a party of 10 the food came out fast. I had the Taco pizza and the Kyiv burger. They were both amazing and well done. The fries were great, and they have malt vinegar in bottles on the table ready to go!. They have a nice patio with a sand court. What a great place! They only complaint is that they don't take cards for payment. They have an ATM. But they will take a check...... hmmm
Wow! We stopped here after hiking near by and was impressed with the food and atmosphere. It is a cash establishment, so make sure you have cash. Nice thing is they do have an ATM on site if you don't have cash (or they accept checks). We had 2 burgers and a prime rib sandwich (prime rib was a special). The burger (with mushrooms, hold the onions please) was amazing. We sat in back patio where they were playing cornhole. It was 20 degrees outside but nice and toasty inside. I recommend this place, and put it down as a favorite to return. The place was clean, staff friendly and food exceptional.
I don't think there is any bad choice of what to order at Whitey's. Czar burger with cheese, sautéed mushrooms and onion was delicious. The order of French fries was a mountain, with the longest fries I've ever seen. Absolutely the best !
I ordered the Czar. It was good. The meat had an excellent flavor. I asked if it was ground in house, they said they had a vendor grind it custom for them. I got broche bun and provolone cheese. I wish the mushrooms and onions were made fresh on the grill. The mushrooms were canned. The onions were sautéed but were thick cut. I did chomp into a piece of bone which worried me if it cracked a tooth. Just the sandwich alone was $15+ no drink or side. I would recommend visiting once a month to once a year. The price point makes it unaffordable for a regular visit for 80% of the population. Prices have gone up but income has not. Bill must be paid in cash. No credit cards are accepted. There is an ATM on site but not sure what the fees are.
8 of us showed up for dinner after calling to see if they would have access to the Packers game. Last minute, and we figured seating would be tough, but surprise! We were seated immediately, and our waiter was awesome. Whitey's is cash or personal check only, but they do have an ATM on site. They also have volleyball courts, and a place to wash the sand off if you're playing before grabbing a meal. A great list of local beers and whiskey/rye/bourbon as well as burgers, salads, sandwiches. We heard they had a special on mussels so ordered and they were GREAT! The Macho Nachos are huge so consider the "Girly Man" size if there's only 1 or 2 eating them.

The standout here is unquestionably the burgers. The Czar burger, loaded with melted cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and onions, consistently earns praise for its robust, meaty savoriness and satisfying texture. Though the mushrooms may come canned and the onions thick-cut, the overall craftsmanship of the burger speaks to a deep respect for classic American flavors. The bread is fresh, and the house sources its beef via a dedicated vendor, ensuring quality. For those seeking something different, the Kyiv burger and the Taco pizza bring unique spins that resonate well with local diners.
Then there are the wings—a full platter of crispy, breaded goodness that pairs perfectly with an array of dips. More than just a snack, these wings manage to balance crisp exterior with tender, juicy meat inside, making them a must-try. A note for visitors: this eatery operates on a cash-only basis, though an ATM is available on-site, and it interestingly accepts checks. This payment style harks back to an old-school ethos, emphasizing straightforward hospitality over modern convenience.
Whitey’s Booze N' Burgers delivers an authentic dive bar charm with its exceptional burgers, wings, and robust sides. It’s a destination where the rough edges only add to the honest, unfussy appeal. While pricing may limit frequent visits, a meal here leaves a lasting impression of comfort food done right in a place where everyone feels like a regular.
